Vriksha Asana or "Tree Pose"

This pose not only stregthens your body it also helps you develop a greater sense of balance.

Physically, this pose is good for your thighs, calfs, chest, arms, spine and shoulders.

Start this pose by standing with your feet together and arms by your sides.

Slowly balance your body weight on one leg, keeping the knee slightly bent.

Place one foot on your inner thigh. Only go as high as you feel a very slight discomfort. i.e. mild stretch.

Put your palms together and stretch above your head.

Hold for 10 slow and deep breaths. Then repeat on the other leg.
